Waiting, waiting, waiting

Not the actual house we're considering :)

This last Saturday we went house hunting with our realtor and viewed about 8 different houses. It would've been 9, but she vetoed one right off the bat as it had an oil tank that would need to be decommissioned (which would have cost us thousands of dollars). Out of the 8 houses (plus another 5 that we drove by), we found our two favorites and then showed the parents our most favorite on Sunday. That evening, we put an offer down on a house! YAY!

This is the house. Around 9:00pm Sunday evening, our offer was faxed over to the seller's agent after meeting with our realtor at Starbucks (ironically, the same Starbucks where we met our wedding officiant to hash out ceremony details). I guess life's entrails come with coffee! On our offer, we stated that we'd like to hear back on a decision by 9:00pm Wednesday, however, the seller and seller's agent met today at 1:30pm to review the offer and we were hoping to here something by late this afternoon.

*Cue the crickets*

Cross your fingers for us! House details include 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an over sized 2 car garage, a massive unfinished basement, and pretty big front/back yards. Lots of room for entertaining, along with a 1970s era kitschy yellow double oven and matching dishwasher. Weeeeeee!
